Covers payroll and selected business tax procedures. Designed for the ATS accounting degree major as well as for those in the community who want to upgrade their knowledge of payroll and business tax accounting.

Explain, at the introductory level, the history and reasoning behind federal and Washington State payroll and excise tax laws and regulations.

Correctly complete selected transactions and reports for a payroll system.

Demonstrate, at the introductory level, how to use the internet to remain current on payroll and tax matters.

Explain, at the introductory level, how sales taxes are computed and reported in Washington State.
