Description

Introduction to Web Site Graphic Design stressing fundamental principles and their application to the Web. Beyond mastering technical details of software, the course focuses on the essential building blocks of color, type, and layout, in working toward professional, appealing & functional website designs.

  1. Introduction to designing web sites by stressing the fundamental design principles and how they apply in the world of the Web.
  2. Establish professional web design skills that are essential to building solid web sites through the understanding of the psychology and influence of color, type, and design layout.
  3. Presentation of the differences and similarities between authoring software and image software to equip users with the knowledge to explore the more advanced features of each type of program.
  4. To promote comprehension and retention of key concepts and techniques, complex topics such as site design and ActionScript are reduced to their basics.
  5. Introduction to the essential features of basic programs of Web design — Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash plus HTML — as well as how these programs interact with the Web design features of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
