This course teaches students the concepts and skills of building a theme-based photographic portfolio as they explore photography as part of interdisciplinary methods. Students will create related bodies of work that illustrate a single topic as they develop a personal vision and style, refine their technical craft and creative practice. Class sessions will include discussions, peer activities, lectures, demonstrations, studio practice, assignments, and self-directed research. Students will produce multiple photographic projects and a professional final portfolio that is driven by their interests and intended to display their skills and concepts to external audiences.
