BIOL 216: Plant Classification

Demonstrate discipline specific skills and competencies:

<li>Understand the basic principles of plant systematics (taxonomy, nomenclature, evolution).</li>
<li>Recognize plant family characteristics through identification of local native families.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a familiarity with taxonomic keys for plant identification.</li>
<li>Recognize the diversity of plant families that occur in the local flora.</li>
<li>Express a sense of wonder and discovery regarding the world of plants.</li>
