Analysis of hydraulic control components and systems. Topics include pumps, valves, actuators, and industrial and mobile control systems.

Demonstrate an understanding of the role hydraulic controls used in mechatronics systems

Describe the different types of hydraulic systems and the properties of hydraulic fluids

Formulate and analyze mathematical models of hydraulic circuits

Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental theoretical concepts governing fluid power

To design and implement simple fluid power systems common in industrial applications using commercial components: circuits for directional, speed, pressure, force, and flow control.

Identify and illustrate the various types of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and motors used in mechatronics systems

Identify and illustrate the operations of a servo and proportional valves
