  • India’s Heroic Age (selected Sanskrit classics)
  • Roman Empire to Christian Europe (Bible: New Testament selected works)

  • The Rise of Islam and Islamic Literature (Koran)
  • The Renaissance in Europe
  • The Twentieth Century (The Wasteland, Prufrock and other selected works)

Evaluation:

Periodic evaluation through student in-class text discussion, papers, and exams.
