Designed to develop, improve and maintain cardiovascular fitness, strength, endurance and flexibility through a variety of cross training activities in a fun group setting. Emphasis will be on proper fundamentals of lifting with weights, TRX bands and the student's own body weight. All ages and fitness levels are encouraged. May be repeated for credit.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Use and fundamentals of all equipment, spotting techniques, safety and rules of the weight training room.
- Health related components of physical fitness; cardiorespiratory, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition.
- Personal assessments including muscle strength and endurance, body composition, body measurements and flexibility.
