Description
An introductory course in which students will investigate the connection between society, physical activity, overall health, wellness, and the bodies physiological processes. The course also provides students with in-class laboratory experiences in which heart rate, strength, muscular endurance and flexibility assessments will be taught and practiced.

- Assess the physiological condition level of an individual, including cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition.
- Design appropriate strength and conditioning programs based upon the level of individual physiological condition.
- Understand the influence environment plays on exercise performance.
- Optimize sport performance through training, ergogenic aids, nutrition and body composition.
