Description
An introductory course designed to help each student: improve muscular strength; gain knowledge regarding safety, anatomy, and understanding of weight training theory and practice to be able to develop a personalized weight training program. May be repeated for credit.

Core Topics
- Name the major muscle groups of the body.
- Know exercises that target each of the major muscle groups of the body
- Demonstrate and use proper lifting technique in the basic strength training movements.
- Demonstrate participation in a regular strength training program for a 10 week period. Use either a circuit or a free weight program.
