Course Learning Outcomes

Know the organization of the human body at many levels; human cells, tissues, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems; the strong relationship between form and function in the body's systems, the concept of homeostasis and its relationship to disease and competency in the terminology and concepts of anatomy & physiology.

Have a more full and practical understanding of anatomy and physiology concepts.

Communicate effectively through written assignments and evaluations.

Be able to apply the scientific method and problem-solving skills to anatomy & physiology phenomenon in a hands-on laboratory using proper techniques to acquire knowledge with a variety of laboratory specimens, including mammal organ and mammal dissections, charts, models, multi-media and computer animations and prepared slides.

Know and understand the form and function of the human body that will successfully prepare students for entry into Allied Health programs (nursing, radiologic technology and medical laboratory technician) and transfer to 4-year institutions.
