Description

This course will introduce students to the profession of SUD counseling. Focus will be on the credentialing process and basic information regarding professional readiness such as the relationship between personal and professional boundaries. Focus will be on the difference between a professional counselor and a peer support person. Introduction to ethical and legal responsibilities of counselors.
