Description

Part one of a four-part series. Focus on the clinical application and evaluation of radiography under professional supervision in a clinical education center affiliated with WVC. Apply technical and procedural knowledge through observation and participation in radiographic studies. Clinical 39 hours per week, competency based.

Course Learning Outcomes

Apply student level expertise and proficiency in diagnostic imaging procedures by applying classroom theory to actual practice of technical skills.

Demonstrate and maintain competence in clinical competencies required by ARRT.

Demonstrate acceptable entry level patient care and prudent radiation protection.

Display a professional demeanor.

Demonstrate team participation skills by exhibiting a positive attitude, showing initiative and assisting others when appropriate.

Core Topics

Orientation to the department, observe and perform radiographic procedures under the supervision of an ARRT registered radiologic technologist, complete clinical objectives and competencies. Maintain acceptable clinical attendance, teamwork, communication and professionalism.
