Focuses on advanced acting techniques and in-depth character/play analysis, as well as more complex scene work. Students will also work on projects related to play directing and production.

Course Learning Outcomes

Develop a theatrical character using:

<li>Script interpretation and character analysis</li>
<li>Relationships, social structures, historical perspectives</li>
<li>Insight into character’s behavior and interaction with other characters</li>
</ul>

Present theatrical material, monologue or scene using:
<ul>
<li>Voice and movement techniques</li>
<li>Concentration and interaction with other actors</li>
<li>Improvisation techniques</li>
</ul>

Identify:
<ul>
<li>Basic acting techniques using voice, movement, improvisation</li>
<li>Basic stage terms/terminology and how they relate to the actor/acting</li>
