Description

Modular course covering theory and the use of scan tools in the diagnosis, adjustment and repair of automotive brake systems including brake hydraulic systems, drum-brake and disc-brake systems, brake power boosters, parking brake systems and anti-skid brake systems. Leadership and human relations are an integral part of instruction.

Course Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the use of the various tools used to test brake systems components and sensors.

Demonstrate skill in removing, disassembling, assembling, installing and servicing brake systems components.

Demonstrate the ability to analyze and correct malfunctions caused by wear and other defects of the brake systems components.

Demonstrate good safety habits and an appreciation of safety precautions and rules.
