Description

For automotive students who require extra project laboratory time to update or enhance their skills to meet program or certification requirements. Students will be directed to complete ASE/NATEF tasks. Graded on a pass/fail basis.

Course Learning Outcomes

Accomplish individually assigned projects necessary to enhance his/her automotive skills.

Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the use of the tools to test, remove, disassemble, install, and service the components of various automotive systems.

Demonstrate skill in removing, disassembling, assembling, installing and servicing automotive systems components.

Demonstrate the ability to analyze and correct malfunctions caused by wear and other defects of the components of automotive systems.

Fundamental principles and terminology of automotive systems.
The use of wiring diagrams, test equipment and special tools to perform ASE/NATEF tasks.
