Description

Continuation of Japanese V. The primary objective is to enhance students' communicative skills in a variety of everyday situations and in some workplace situations in Japanese. Students will learn reading and writing skills at the intermediate level.

Course Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate a further expanded vocabulary over that acquired in Japanese V.

Understand and apply more of the intermediate level of Japanese grammar.

Converse in a variety of everyday situations and in some workplace situations in Japanese.

Read with increased comprehension and scanning, skimming, and intensive reading skills.

Write with increased ability in "Hiragana", "Katakana", and "Kanji", including descriptions and some functional writing tasks.

Demonstrate a broader and deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society.
