- Lab safety – biological, chemical, electrical, fire and mechanical
- Phlebotomy – routine phlebotomy
- Basic lab skills – pipetting, micropipetting, microscope usage, fluid management
- Chemistry testing – spectrophotometer usage
- Hematology/coagulation testing – slide making and staing, WBC differentials
- Blood bank testing – reagents, 3% RBC suspenstion, tube reaction grading, ABO/Rh testing
- Serological testing – EIA testing
- Urinalysis testing – macroscopic, chemical and microscopic exams
- Bacteriological testing – media, Gram stain prep and reading, plate streaking, urine and throat cultures, biochemical testing
