Description

A basic overview of the advanced imaging areas to include, but not limited to, vascular/cardiac/interventional radiography, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, mammography, bone densitometry and radiation therapy.

Course Learning Outcomes

Discuss orally and in writing, each of the imaging modalities in terms of purpose, principles, equipment/material and procedure.

Explain the role of nuclear medicine and radiation therapy in the treatment of disease.

Discuss the responsibilities and relationship of all personnel in the diagnostic imaging department.
