Description

An introduction to the concepts of disease and the etiology and pathophysiology of disease to body systems. Radiographic exam indicators and common radiographic findings are reviewed and compared to normal radiographic findings.

Prerequisites

RADT 122, RADT 152

Course Learning Outcomes

Describe the pathophysiology associated with the various systems.

Define basic terms related to pathology.

Determine the affect the pathophysiology will have on a radiograph and the subsequent technique alterations that may be needed.

Describe and identify the variations between normal and pathologic conditions on radiographs.

Introduction to pathology definitions and terms, trauma and pathologic causes of disease of the following systems: skeletal and articular, digestive, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, circulatory, endocrine, nervous.
