Course Learning Outcomes

Read, write, listen, and speak in compound and complex German sentences using verb-second and verb-final word order, the perfect, past perfect, and simple past tenses.

Communicate in situations involving college life, travel, city life, the environment, and modern German society.

Correctly use the genitive case and attributive adjectives and correctly order adverbial modifiers of time, manner, and place.

Extract contextual information from both readings and video presentations and respond in German to German situational questions within the grammatical limits of the material.
