Description

Continuation of Japanese II. Deals with more grammatical aspects of Japanese language than Japanese II. Primary objective is still to develop students' communicative skills in everyday situations in Japanese. Students also will learn reading and writing skills at the elementary level.

Course Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate a further expanded vocabulary over that acquired in Japanese II.

Understand and apply more of the basics of Japanese grammar.

Demonstrate facility in elementary conversation.

Increase ability in reading for comprehension, approximating that of a native speaker second grader.

Increase ability in writing "Hiragana”, "Katakana” and "Kanji” approximating that of a native speaker second grader.

Understand more general Japanese culture.
