Description

Special emphasis will be placed on exploration of psychosocial issues that arise in clients with acute and/or emergent health problems. This course examined the role of the healthcare professional in providing care for these clients. Content is integrated with NURS 202.

Prioritize assessment and reassessment of the client with urgent/emergent health problems.

Analyze client assessment findings, labs and diagnostics relating to urgent/emergent health problems.

Evaluate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions for the client with urgent/emergent health problems.

Evaluate therapeutic communication techniques used by the healthcare professional for conflict management, delegation, supervision and collaboration.
